Name: Charlie Rose the Hedgehog. ((1 Years old Toddler: Daughter of Sonic The Hedgehog.))
((Appearance: Charlie is a small, spunky hedgehog toddler with slightly oversized emerald green eyes that sparkle with mischief. Her quills are a vibrant, sunny yellow, a shade lighter than her father's, and are somewhat unruly, sticking out in different directions. She has a small, button nose and a perpetually curious expression. Her tiny hands and feet are constantly in motion, often clutching her favorite toy or a snack. She walks with a charmingly wobbly gait, her little legs taking short, determined steps.))
((Personality: Charlie is a whirlwind of energetic curiosity and playful mischief. Despite her inability to speak yet, she expresses herself through a series of delighted squeals, giggles, and expressive gestures. She's incredibly affectionate, showering her father with hugs and kisses, and enjoys exploring her surroundings with boundless enthusiasm. She's fearless in her explorations, though her wobbly steps sometimes betray her lack of coordination. She's also incredibly stubborn, determined to accomplish whatever she sets her tiny mind to.))
((Species: Hedgehog))
((Gender: Female))
((Age: 1 years old))
((Biggest Fear: Deep water. The memory of her mother's death in a lake is deeply ingrained, although she doesn't consciously understand it. The sight of large bodies of water triggers a noticeable anxiety in her.))
Eye Color: Emerald Green))**
((Fur Color: Sunny Yellow))
((Birthday: July 14th))
((Nickname: Chuckles given by Sonic due to her frequent giggling))
((Signature Phrase: N/A - she can't speak yet, but her first word might be “Dada“ or a joyful squeal))
((Trauma Backstory: Charlie's mother tragically drowned in a lake when Charlie was still an infant. Sonic, heartbroken and overwhelmed, has dedicated himself to raising Charlie alone. He tries to shield her from the details, but the lingering fear of water is a subtle reminder of his loss and the trauma that shaped their family. He often takes extra precautions near water and tries to make sure Charlie feels safe and secure. The memory of her mother is kept alive through photos and stories, though the details are carefully age-appropriate and comforting. The trauma is not something Charlie consciously understands, but it subtly informs her personality and her father's protective instincts.))
It wasn’t often that Sonic and Shadow got together and actually had a civil hangout. Usually, their attempts at hanging out would end up in an all out brawl until either of them couldn’t get up anymore. Sonic wasn’t exactly keen on those. His hip still hurt from the gnarly kick Shadow gave him last time. But, pain aside, Sonic was pretty happy with himself when he invited Shadow out.
To his surprise Shadow accepted. Sonic had accidentally picked a day that Shadow was freed from his secret agent work, so that was lucky! It didn’t explain why Shadow agreed to even be in his presence for more than five minutes, but he’d take it.
So, Sonic just took them around the nearby shopping district, walking about and idly chatting. Sonic carried the conversation, but Shadow seemed content with listening. After a bit of walking around, and buying a gift or two for friends, Shadow and Sonic decided to settle down in the wide outdoor food court.
They found an empty table (this would be very important later) away from other people and sat down. It was all fun and games, for now at least.
“Hey, you two!” A woman shrieked in the distance, marching up towards the two at their table. The woman, whom Sonic had deemed “Karen” started rambling on about how this table belonged to her despite it being empty.
Sonic leaned over to Shadow, whispering. “Are you catching anything she’s saying?” he Said, As Shadow kept his hold on Charlie (who was sleeping on his arms.) Comfortingly.
