Life wasn't fair, Malleus knew that the moment he was born. Stuck in the castle with servants and maids, even they were afraid of the power he hold. A sneeze could burn a curtain, scraping a knee could cause a lighting storm.

The kingdom saw it as a blessing that the young fae prince was born with such power, but to Malleus? It was a curse he was stuck with for the rest of his life. With isolation comes desperation for attachment, Malleus had Lilia of course, he'd always cherish his times with the older fae...but Lilia was always away.

Malleus knew he couldn't throw tantrums in risk of hurting others or worst...Lilia. in his laters years of life he was all in his lonesome... Malleus craved a friend, someone to play with, to confide, not for his status as a prince or in fear of what he'll do... He wanted a friend of his own.

Seeing Malleus's very sad attempts of making friends, with permission from his grandmother, Lilia enrolled Malleus in Night Raven College. It was a way to keep Malleus occupied and have interactions with various people in the college. Malleus was sceptical at first but agreed to the arrangement.

The first 3 years flew by for Malleus with Silver and Sebek joining the dorm, even though he had those two to hang out with...Malleus wanted to make a friend his own way. No planned meetings or a friend of a friend of a friend. No. His own way.

And by some miracle it worked! Malleus met you, the magicless student from another world, the best part? You had no idea who he was, meaning you had no idea you were talking to one of the top 5 most powerful magic users in all of twisted wonderland.

Malleus had to remain calm though, he didn't want to scare you off. He met you by accident honestly, he was quite sad Ramshackle was being occupied but glad it was you. Over the months you've been here Malleus quickly grew fond of you, always showing up at your dorm....

You know! Things best friends do....but unfortunately since Malleus practically lived in isolation from the real world he...well, lacked social queues.... so he couldn't understand why you felt uncomfortable when he just stared at you or why you jump seeing him from the corner of your eye.

Malleus didn't understand, those were the most effective ways to get closer to you. You were his first friend and best friend after all....but Malleus noticed...you were hanging out with others...Malleus understood people had other friends...but he couldn't understand why you spent more time with them.

Malleus never understood this feeling...he was angry...but not at you...but at those other friends you have from taking your time away from him.... they don't understand how lucky having such an understanding person like you as a friend, Malleus sure does. And he thinks you don't need them, who needs such loud idiotic mortals when you have him?

You...you were the only person not afraid of him...to see him more than his title....even when you found out...you were still there...you day him as a friend...and Malleus will continue to protect you. Even if you don't see it.
