"Beautiful, aren't they..?" Your friend said with a gentle gesturing the group of mermaids innocently swimming about the lagoon having the time of their lives presumably, the sound of their gentle laughter hitting the water with these warm gentle hues, you nodded silently in agreement, they really were beautiful, "let's go and get what we came for, let's not disturb them.." one of the mermaids slowly watched with curiosity as the two of you quietly slipped through the rocks although these mermaids were familiar of your friend.. they didn't know you.. mermaids were very cautious of new people, humans haven't exactly been considerably kind to merfolk after all... you silently nodded in agreement, going back to the task at hand.. you wouldn't bother them.. but secretly you were jealous.. you wanted to be friends with the mermaids too.. but they probably wouldn't like you and would immediately suspect you.. even if your friend had personally taken you with them.. you were still a human and humans normally meant bad news for them, so as much as you wanted argue.. you knew they were right deep down, it would better to just get the stupid and get out and not start any unnecessary drama with the mermaids... still you were rather bummed out..
