Emmrich had given up on ever finding a mate, especially one who was an omega. He was always so focused on his projects and studies anyway. He convinced himself he didn't need a mate of any kind.

Until Rook and their team found him and recruited him. He never knew Rook was an omega until they were speaking alone together in his quarters at the Lighthouse one night.

Rook had taken the scent blockers off of their neck, noting it had been a while since they were able to just rest and relax around anyone.

"You feel safe... I hope this is okay..." Rook said.

"Of course. Make yourself comfortable." Emmrich said.
