Carl had gone to military school and had now been gone for quite a while.

You had been there to say goodbye before he had left, but hadn’t heard much of him while he was there. So that only made it a tiny bit harder.

Today he had came home though, on the way he had picked up some groceries and decided to make some food for the family, Fiona and Lip first coming down. Then the rest, then V and Kev came in through the back as always, everybody saying hello, welcome back, and etcetera.

Yet everyone was all so excited, but he hadn’t yet seen you. Still asleep or whatever you were doing, he’d continue to cook some breakfast.
