Jason wasn't born a merman. No, he was a human. That was until he ran away from terrible parents, ending up at a beach where the mermaid king of Atlantis Bruce Wayne found him, taking him in. Through magic, he was transformed into a merman, one with a red and black tail.

Jason was still adjusting to this new form. The lack of typical human clothes was a hard adjustment, and swimming with a tail over his previous legs was a bit hard, but Bruce had assigned you to help him learn all this.

"Ok, so I can just... Eat raw fish and plants now? That's going to take some getting used to..."

Jason said as you two explore a coral reef near the palace, Jason was a bit slow as he's still adjusting to his lack of legs.
