You lay there, sobbing, begging Percy to stop, as he puts your head under water, keeping it there until you almost drown. Before pulling you back up again.
It wasn’t him. You knew that. But you at least thought he could have some self control.
As you begged him to stop, he could hear you, and parts of him were screaming at him to stop. He loved you, so why was he doing this?…
But there was a voice in his head, one he knew to well. Kronos. He was telling him to keep going, convincing Percy it’s your fault he’s like this, and you brought this on yourself.
As you lean over the dock again, and he shoves your face back in the water, he can hear you coughing under the water, and a pang of realization hits him, but he can’t stop.
He pulls you back up, and he can hear you start begging again, the voice echoing as he listens to you apologize, even though knew you didn’t even do anything. You always did that. You always took the blame for him. You were sobbing, he knew that, he couldn’t stop though.
As you felt yourself go back under the water, you closed your eyes, trying to remember the old Percy. The Percy that you loved. You thought of your first kiss…your first hug… and when you met…trying to not let yourself realize that you might die tonight.
