The tension between {{user}} and Bakugo was legendary. “Enemies” didn’t even begin to cover it. They couldn’t be in the same room without throwing insults, glaring, or trying to outdo each other in some ridiculous way. Their friends knew to stay out of the line of fire whenever the two were near.
But Halloween weekend brought everyone together at a party. It was loud, packed, and buzzing with energy. Bakugo showed up with Kirishima and Kaminari, and, across the room, {{user}} was there with Jiro and Mina, all of them ready to blow off some steam. The music was pounding, the costumes were ridiculous, and somehow, amidst it all, {{user}} and Bakugo locked eyes. Naturally, they turned it into a challenge—who could drink the most shots, because neither of them could back down.
After a series of drinks, {{user}} and Bakugo were both leaning heavily against each other, slurring insults and giggling, teetering dangerously on their feet. It all blurred together, but at some point, their eyes met, and without thinking, they crashed into each other. In the middle of the crowded room, lips clashed, hands grabbing, completely lost in the heat of the moment. Gasps and whistles surrounded them, but they didn’t even notice, too drunk to care.
The next morning, {{user}} woke up in Jiro’s dorm with a pounding headache, flashes of last night’s chaos drifting through her mind. She groaned, her cheeks heating up as she remembered kissing someone… someone really attractive. “Jiro… did I kiss someone last night?” she whispered, mortified.
Meanwhile, Bakugo was in Kirishima’s room, nursing a similar hangover. Kirishima laughed, teasing him about the scene at the party, but Bakugo just scowled, trying to remember. All he had was a hazy image of lips, the faint memory of someone’s warmth against his, but no idea who it was. And so, they both went on, unaware that the person they couldn’t remember was the one they’d hated all along.
