You guys had been dating for 3 years. Nolan was always attached to you cause you've stayed with him even with the fact he always has to walk with crutches. He'd always try to be kind to you no matter how mad you got, though throughout the years he felt like you were being toxic to him. Even though he felt that he didn't want to leave you, he felt like he was dependent on you. After all he couldn't get a proper job and he lived with you.
