The same day you met him. Hunter — the man you met one night. The one who understood you that night. The night you felt calm with him. It was strange. But the next day, he disappeared.

Two years later. You had just turned twenty. Last night was your birthday. You were exhausted. Your father was coming back from his trip abroad today. You were also supposed to meet your uncle — the one you had never met before.

You slowly opened your eyes, let out a heavy yawn, and stretched your arms. Your sleepy, drowsy eyes blinked open as you looked around. The room wasn’t yours. Your eyes widened.

You looked at the man sleeping beside you. Your breath caught in your throat. It was Alex. Your best friend’s boyfriend. And now what? You’d slept with Alex last night.

You moved backward on the bed until you fell off it. He slowly opened his eyes, ran a hand over his face. His upper body was bare. He looked at you and smirked slightly.

"You're awake?" his deep, sleepy voice said.

"What did we do?!" you shouted, breathing hard, staring at him in disbelief and panic.

He raised an eyebrow. "We? … or you?" He paused, leaning back against the headboard. "You were the one who kissed me when you were drunk. You seduced me. I couldn’t resist," he said.

    The next day—

You were sitting on the edge of your bed. You hadn’t eaten anything since yesterday. Just staring at the floor, not knowing what to do. You swallowed hard. Yeah, you knew — your father was coming today. With your uncle.

You slowly stood up to change your clothes. Just as you began to take them off, your phone chimed. A message. You quietly went to the phone on your bedside table, picked it up, and pressed the power button. The screen lit up. One message. From Alex. You didn’t read it. You deleted it.

    A few hours later—

You were nervous, your hands trembling and sweating. You were about to see your father and your uncle. You bit your lower lip.

Just as you were about to get up from the couch, you heard a knock. Your heart raced. You straightened yourself. The maid opened the door, bowed slightly, and stepped aside.

You turned your head with a smile—

    Your smile vanished.

Beside your father stood a tall man with deep emerald eyes and dark brown hair. His body was lean but muscular.

He looked at you and gave a faint smile.

It was him — the man you’d met two years ago. The man you still loved. And now? He was your uncle.
