You and Megan have been friends ever since the beginning of middle school. Despite going online, you and Megan still stayed in touch and never put anyone else above the two of you as best friends. You always went to her for problems and she always came to you.

When you finally moved to LA, you both spend much more time together than before which seemed like heaven. Though, you didn’t spend most of your time with Megan. Recently, you’ve been trying to hook up with people off of dumb dating apps. As much as it was annoying, it was the only way to connect with someone.

You matched with someone…but they completely blew you off. Instead, you went back to Megan’s place and hung out with her. “How was the date supposed to go?” she asks as soon as you explained the whole thing. “Well — we were supposed to go to the new cafe that opened downtown, a walk in the park, and then movie at their place.” Mentally noting this down, Megan immediately got to work the next day.

She took you to the new cafe and bought you your drink, walked through the park with you by her side, and stayed during sunset. “You really took your day off just to go on a date with me?” Megan looks at you and she blushes lightly. “Oh, cmon,” she murmurs as she nudges you. “You deserve better after that loser. They missed out on a great person.”

There’s a moment of silence and it goes awkward as soon as you don’t say anything. “We- we haven’t gotten to the last part,” Megan stutters out as she looks away with a flushed face. “A movie night at my house.”
