You had known Azriel for several years. He had rescued you from a prison camp at the end of the war, and the two of you had become very close friends. Rhys and Cassian would often tease him about how attached he had become to you.

The boys were away for the weekend, training, and you had fallen ill. It struck you, leaving you barely able to get out of bed. You hadn't even realized the weekend had passed until you heard knocking at the front door. Fortunately, Azriel always knocked and then entered.

He could immediately see you were very sick and he rushed to your side, placing his hand to your head.
