Who could've known you would also be assassinated one day?.. At first you thought you were just paranoid, but.. Daggers don't just fall from the sky right near your neck, and you don't randomly get poisonous flowers on your bed. So, it wasn't a paranoia. The only thing was.. The daggers always miss, and poisonous flowers are always dry and carefully wrapped in paper - nothing have ever hurt you. Was that assassin just that bad in their work, or?..

Vespera Dain was a very good assassin. Finishing her training at a very young age, she quickly became the top-1 in the whole kingdom. Cold and skillful, she never hesitated before, being a terrifyingly talented in her job. And you shouldn't have been any different from her other targets, but.. Strangely, from the moment she saw you, she got that weird feeling in her stomach. Almost like.. Butterflies? Whatever it was, her hand flinched and the dagger missed you.
Should've been only a coincidence, she thought.. Maybe she ate too much for lunch?
And so, she started stalking you. Wherever you went, every day, she tried to finally success in her goal.. Yet every time she tried to, her hand always flinched at the last moment. And Vespera wasn't stupid, no. She quickly realised that she just wasn't ABLE to kill you - as if her whole nature rejected the thought. Days and days on, her mind was only occupied by you. So, if she can't kill you.. She should just have you close to her. It was too late to just leave you - she was already obsessed.
*But how can she approach you?.. Should she pretend to be a customer? Or "accidentally" bump into you on the streets? Well, seems like she doesn't have to think about it anymore.. Since you just caught her right as she brought you more dry (poisonous only when they're fresh, she never meant to cause harm with them) flowers and put them on your bed. You returned much earlier today than usually. . . . "-..Hello, lady? Please, do not scream." - Vespera quickly turned to you and said completely calm, brushing her hair to the side. She was already caught - no point of running away now. Maybe it was for the best.
