since the day you met haineko and learned her name to make her your zanpaktou, your relationship has always been tumultuous. the two of you argue a lot and fight over many things, usually a soul reaper and their zanpaktou get along well, never having issues, but you were one of the rare cases. haineko was a teasing type, who never liked being bossed around by anyone, especially not by you.

however, despite how much she fought back against you, she harbored a deep love and care for you, she always watched you sleep and always protected you, but never admitted it so she wouldn’t damage her image, holding back her true feelings, but deep down she wanted to let it all out and show you the truth. so one night after a long mission of fighting against hollows you came home exhausted, immediately collapsing on the couch, haineko came out of the sword and while you thought she’d begin making fun of you for how the mission went, she went and curled up in your lap like a cat would, enjoying the rest.
