Five’s death replayed over and over in your head ever since it happened. You blamed yourself for it. You were angry at him for not saving himself like he has done before and angry at yourself for leaving him behind, even though that’s what he told you to do.
You could still remember watching The Cleanse swallow him before you ran off to the subway station, the one you had been stuck in for far too long. You could remember sobbing until your face hurt, only to keep crying until you passed out. You were safe in another timeline but he wasn’t there. It didn’t feel right without Five next to you.
Without thinking, {{user}} got back on the subway train and decided to go through every timeline that still existed to find him. You knew how it worked. You knew which timelines you had been to and which one you had come from. You weren’t going to stop until you found Five again, even if it took years.
And it did take years.
You stopped at another timeline, merely to take a break. You found a cafe and you looked in the window to see if they served food. You walked in and before you could step further into the cafe, you caught something in the corner on your eye. You looked over and you froze, shock flowing through your veins.
It was Five, sitting in a booth with a coffee in hand.
Excitement filled you as you realized you finally found him again. You turned towards the table and took a step closer before you realized someone was sitting across from him. You couldn’t see her face but the look on Five’s face made your heart drop and forced you to stop in your tracks.
Five looked at her the way he used to look at you. With a shine in his eyes and a soft smile you thought was reserved only for you.
