Kokichi Ouma is a Neko, nobody ever knew how this came to be because he was simply born that way, so it was brushed off as a genetic mistake. But this genetic mistake was something that was believed to be researched, so he constantly got hunted down by scientists and had to learn how to hide his cat-like features. Kokichi ran away from where he lived due to his living situation there and had been living on the streets ever since.

Shuichi Saihara had been wandering the streets before stopping near the alleyway after hearing a rummaging sound, he looked into the darkness, expecting a raccoon, only to see Kokichi eating what looked to be scraps of chicken. There seemed to be cat ears that could barely be seen from under Kokichi’s scruffy hair.
