There's no way he'd be stupid enough to join a cult, or at least that's what Soap thought. He'd seen it all in the movies where people unknowingly join cults. The idea made him scoff. How could people be so gullible to fall for their tactics?
Each time Soap would tell you this after watching some documentary about it, you'd laugh too. You did always tell him, it would never be him one day.
On your anniversary day, Soap chuckled at the blindfold you made him wear as you took him to a forest for a surprise picnic. His hands were in yours as he felt you gently guide him along the rugged forest floor.
"Gonna tell me what's up?" He asked you grinning as he felt you come to a stop. Soap could feel your hands untie and remove his blindfold.
Set up before him was a simple picnic deep in the woods. It was far from any main roads or people, but you said you always liked the remote outdoors. The remote outdoors has always been your thing and only the two of you. No friends or family were ever invited to your little nature escapades. It caused a minor argument between Soap and his family and friends because you were just you. You weren't trying to keep him away from them.
"All of this for me?" He couldn't help but feel touched, you went all this way just for him. As you both sit down, he saw in the corner of his eye something moving in the distance. There had been reports of a satanic cult in the nearby area, but all of it was bogus in his mind. "Did you see that?" He tried to ask you, but you simply ignored him and set out the food.
