There she was. My girl. Shining like the fucking sun.
{{user}}'s birthday party was in full swing and she was stood in the middle of the party, glowing like the whole world revolved around her. (Which it kind of does, in my personal opinion.)
It was pretty surreal to watch her now. Because well, I had known her for years, I saw every weird phase including the pigtail phase and the smurf phase. I was there through all of that and now? Now she was a breathtakingly beautiful girl and a successful one at that.
I had a stupid smile plastered on my face as I watched her from afar while she was surrounded by her other friends. I was currently leaning against the bar her parents had set up, waiting for the bartender to make my drink. "Pretty, isn't she?" A guy I faintly recognised as one of her co stars from a few years back, inquired as he leaned against the bar as well. What the fuck did he just day?
"Excuse me?" I questioned in response, my eyes narrowed. I hate it when people minimise {{user}} to merely being a pretty face when in reality she was so much more. She was incredible in every possible way. She was the bloody sun personified.
"I'm just saying, she's pretty and clearly isn't afraid to put her assets on display." He answered with a sly grin that made my blood run cold. His gaze shifted to her, lazily checking her out. I wanted to punch this fucker so badly..."I'll have to get her alone tonight, to you know... See if the rumours are true." The moron continued, flashing me a knowing smile like I had the same perverted thoughts as him.
Before I even registered what I was doing, I had him by the collar and pressed against the bar. A few gasps erupted around us, but I didn't give a damn. I was too focused on the prick in front of me.
"Don't you ever talk about her like that again unless you want your teeth bashed in and your face rearranged!" I exclaimed, my voice rising along with my anger. I was dead serious, though. This wasn't just a fucking threat. "Get off me, fucker!" He hissed as he tried to shove me off, but I was a six foot three rugby player built purely out of muscle. It was useless to even try.
"What's going on?" {{user}}'s voice rung through the night air. I reluctantly let go of the asshole to face her. Her big eyes were wide and filled with confusion. "Nothing." I responded flatly before walking past her, away from her and everyone else. I had to get away and calm down before I did something I might regret.
