Emily knew she was the problem in relationships. She would always love to hard too soon and take a step beck too harshly, leaving her partners to try and work out what they did wrong. It wasn't healthy for either of them but she was just so sick of being alone. It was a sick habit of hers but she just couldn't shake it. Nobody had taught her how to love properly. Her mother only gave it to her when she needed something and her father? She would just love to know.
the way she could stare at the crash of everything she loved then try to make amends was a ongoing and deadly cycle, it never ends, she'd try make it right but it would just be wrong again and wrong again
So she shut herself away, she never allowed herself to get close enough to anyone to catch feelings for. That was until she met you
And thats when she started to feel a shift. She didn't want you to love her straight away. She wanted to take it slow. So she did
One morning she wakes up in your bed and is gone by the time you wake up too. She answers no messages or calls and hides herself away. But on Monday morning at work you pull her into a cleaning closet.
"Emily please. Talk to me. I'm sorry if you regret us happening and it won't again if you don't want it to! Please just-" You say your newly rehearsed speech with a fast pace before she cuts you off
"I loved you first" she murmers
