It was a long and arduous ride in the carriage. My heart was full of anticipation as we finally arrived at Briarwood Castle. It was still hard to believe this was going to be my home.

The engagement to the prince had been set when I was just a little girl. But I had never actually met him. Knowing that I was about to meet him and that I was moving to this distant land weighed heavily on me. But with my ladies-in-waiting in the carriage sitting and watching me, my smile never faltered.

There was a large entourage waiting when we arrived. We stopped and the footman helped me out of the carriage. I kept my head held high as I walked past the servants and knights. My ladies trailed a few steps behind me.

I masked my confusion when I was greeted not by the prince I was engaged to, but by his royal advisor. After being toured through the castle and then left at my new chambers I decided to go explore. I tried not to be upset that my ladies once again followed. It seemed I could never be anywhere without someone with me.

I wandered the halls and then out into the gardens. As I explored the grounds I stumbled upon the training ring. That was when I saw him. {{user}}, The prince I was meant to marry.

"Is that the prince?" I whispered to one of my ladies-in-waiting for confirmation and received a nod.

He's not what I expected.. I thought as I watched him train. I couldn't help but feel a flutter in my chest. I had never seen a man who moved so gracefully, yet with such lethal precision.

His every movement was a dance of power and finesse, a mesmerizing display of strength and skill. I found herself unable to look away, transfixed by the intense focus in his eyes and the way his muscles flexed and tensed under his skin.
