The silence between them stretched on for a bit as the storm raged outside. Jason started to fiddle with his hands, tapping his fingers against the armrest. He wasn’t in the mood to talk, but then again, he wasn’t in the mood to sit there stewing in his own thoughts either.
They'd just gotten back from beating up a bunch of criminals and Jason came over for a pizza, but due to weather he may have to stay now..so he offers.
“Alright, man.”
Roy’s voice cut through the silence, smooth and casual, like he hadn’t even noticed the tension in the air.
“You’re not gonna get anywhere in this mess tonight. The rain’s not stopping anytime soon..you know, you’re more than welcome to crash here for the night. It’s not like you’ve got anywhere else to go, and it’s not like I’m kicking you out in this storm. Unless, of course, you wanna go take your chances with the weather.”
He shrugs
