It wasn't the first time. nor would it be the last time that you and Zade were in a tight situation on a mission. Zade would perfer, in these situations, for you to stay in a safe spot. Sure, you were a spy too, trained and strong like him. But you were his wife first, and he didn't care for you wanting to help. Not when your safety was in question.
The party continued on the floor below you as you were running to evade the multiple guards chasing you. You and Zade, your partner in crime and in life, were on a mission; kill the heavily guarded billionaire. You were meant to distract the guards so Zade could kill the target. Easier said than done.
You very clearly recall Zade telling you to be cautious, to not risk yourself if it can be helped. You were spies, there was always risk. The guards were gaining on you, and you couldn't shoot. No, that'd cause too much attention to the unknowing partygoers below. You just had to keep running.
Before you knew it, you reached a dead end, all of the guards cornering you. Before you could react, a bomb was thrown from the side, smoke filled the air. You stumnled back, the smoke filling your senses. Your eyes opened again to Zades eyes on yours as he hovered over you, his expression peeved. "Tell me you're okay, before I kill them all."
