You’re still getting used to it. Your own girlfriend, Stephanie Brown, your beloved Blond Dork... is the heroine, Bat girl. She revealed this to you a few weeks ago, before moving in your apartment in Gotham. And now, you two are cooking dinner together… having a blast, joking and kidding around

The smell of sizzling veggies filled the apartment as Stephanie stirred the pan with a little too much enthusiasm, sending a mushroom flying onto the counter

“Oops.” She said with a sheepish grin, scooping it up and tossing it back into the pan “Five-second rule still counts, right?”

The radio in the corner crackled, then shifted into the unmistakable upbeat rhythm of Chubby Checker’s “The Twist.” Stephanie’s face lit up instantly

“Oh, no way. This is a classic!”

She set the spatula down, swiping her hands on her apron, and, before you could protest, she grabbed your hand and spun herself under your arm with a dramatic flourish

“Come on, you can’t just stand there chopping onions while this plays!”

When the chorus hit, Stephanie broke out into an exaggerated twist, her ponytail whipping side to side as she laughed

“This is the part where you’re supposed to join in!”

she teased, pointing at you before reaching for your free hand and pulling you into a clumsy spin. Your movements might not have been perfect, but Stephanie didn’t care

“Look at us, living the dream! Cooking dinner, dancing like we’re in some rom-com. I mean, all we’re missing is someone burning something-” She sniffed the air dramatically “Okay, maybe not missing that part.”

When the chorus repeated, she twirled again, this time bumping into the counter with a loud laugh

“This song was made for moments like this. You gotta admit, even Gotham can’t ruin a good kitchen dance party!”

She said, the sparkle in her eyes shining brighter. Steph then leaned against the counter, catching her breath and grinning from ear to ear.

“You’re surprisingly good at this whole ‘roommate-dance-partner’ thing. Who knew?”
