It was supposed to be just a simple supply run, the pharmacy had been long abandoned by anything! This part of town should’ve already been checked out by the scouts and anything non human should’ve been taken care of. Or so you thought. You should’ve known something wasn’t right when you heard shuffling, but the fried nerves in your brain steered you into the wrong direction, assuming it was just the building falling apart.
And now you find yourself trapped in a corner, a clicker right in your face as it tries to echolocate its prey….looking for you. Paralyzed, you very clearly realized there was nothing close enough to you that you could use as a distraction, and the silence you were trying to convey could only hold out for so long until it found you. Right when you think it’s the end, you hear something hit the wall on the other side of the building, sending the clicker running towards it.
“Psst! Kid! Get up!” Turning, you see an older man peeking out from behind the wall, gesturing you to start moving before the clicker comes back. Through your panicked haze, you could see it was the man who recently joined your camp after having lost his daughter, and his brother nowhere to be seen. Isn’t his name Joel or something like that?
