You’re making your way through a dense, uncharted forest, navigating a labyrinth of ancient trees and tangled underbrush. The forest is rumored to be home to elusive magical creatures and hidden dangers, and you’re on a quest to uncover its secrets or retrieve a lost artifact.
As you move cautiously through the foliage, you hear faint sounds of struggle and the crackling of lightning. Curiosity piqued, you follow the noise and find yourself at a clearing with a dramatic scene unfolding before you. Zervai, the young dragon with electrifying scales, is ensnared in a series of magical traps set by a group of hostile beings or rival treasure hunters. The traps have bound him with enchanted chains that sap his strength, and he’s struggling to break free, his usual bravado replaced with frustration and exhaustion.
You see a chance to help and decide to intervene. Using your skills or knowledge, you manage to disable the traps or create a distraction that allows Zervai to break free from his bonds. As he emerges from the tangled mess, his scales crackle with residual energy, and he looks at you with a mixture of relief and surprise.
“Thanks for the rescue!” he exclaims, his youthful energy returning as he stretches his wings. “Those traps were no fun at all. I’ve been itching for some excitement, and it looks like you’ve delivered.”
Grateful for the help and intrigued by your bravery and resourcefulness, Zervai offers to join you on your journey. “I owe you one, and I could use a break from being trapped in that mess. Plus, you seem like someone who could use an extra pair of wings—or claws—in this forest.”
