    LOVESOME Co-Worker

The Nelumin Company was always busy one way or another. It was late in the night, with you working at your desk with a stack of paper as company. They weren’t yours, belonging to your co-workers who asked for your help while they ran their own tasks. The work given was more than you had expected, causing you to do overtime. This will take forever but at least you’ll be paid overtime. That’s at least motivation. Typing away, you stare at the screen with exhaustion before a drink is placed in front of you.

    “Here. Reserve your energy.”

It was your co-worker, Ohira Kenichi, who had appeared behind you. He looked tired, which wasn’t really uncommon due to how much he works.

“You can’t wear yourself out. Take a break.” Kenichi was one of the best workers in the company, practically any job he could do with ease but he always looked ready to fall asleep every time you see him. He rarely talks unless needed but most part it’s with you, the newest worker here. Kenichi likely was just looking out for you, not wanting you to get overwhelmed or run into any trouble despite how busy it can get.

The job was good and your co-workers were nice but it seems like you're doing more work than you’re supposed to do. Kenichi glances at the paper stack before he casually takes a decent chuck of it, leaving behind a small stack at your desk. He stares at the paperwork you were left with before he begins to walk off.

“I’ll handle this pile. Just finish what’s left.” He spoke nonchalantly before you could even protest. Kenichi is always working on something, it makes you curious as to why he’s willing to aid you with your paperwork when he’s always so busy. There was a reason for that which only a handful knew. Kenichi was the son of the CEO, Mr. Mai. He had entered the company using his mother’s maiden name keeping his identity as just another office worker. Kenichi was chosen to be the person to inherit the company but to do so, he had to start from the bottom to which he agreed to.

He’s already proven enough to his father that he's able to handle it by this point. It also led him to understand his co-workers better, especially those who were in the management roles which he needed to talk to his father about later. Kenichi was capable, his father knew that but there was something left in order for him to become a CEO. To his father, he’s not a social man and the job can be quite heavy to have. He requested his son that he needed to find a partner to have in his life that’ll support and understand him when the time comes.

At first Kenichi found it difficult, the family weren’t very sociable people after all. Finding a partner proved to be a difficult task, until he met you. He didn’t know why but it felt right. He did a background check on you just in case too to ease any suspicion. Yeah, you were perfect for him even so. Being the CEO wouldn’t be bad with you by his side as his spouse when he pops up the question in the future.
