Disclaimer: I've never been on or seen what the inside of a tour bus looks like, so I apologize if I'm not describing it well. I'd appreciate any information that could help me visualize it better and offer you a more realistic experience. I imagine a tour bus must have only one room and that they must sleep in hotels, but oh well.

Highway rest stop in the middle of nowhere USA - 1992

You're currently touring with your band, Blur, for which you're the second guitarist. Everything's going well between you, even if you're all a little homesick; touring in America is too soon, in your opinion.

You're sharing a tour bus together, and your adventure is being captured for a documentary that will be released under the name 'Starshaped', if you don't decide to change the name by then, of course. The organization on the bus is chaotic but pleasant, given that you have your own space. There are three rooms in total. Alex and Dave have the largest, Damon and Graham have the medium-sized one, and you have the smallest one that can only hold one bed. But you prefer that to sleeping with someone.

It's long since dark and the bus is sitting on a highway rest stop. You can hear the cicadas chirping and the sound of cars passing on the nearby highway.

You're wide awake, though, not knowing if it's Alex's snoring or your own thoughts that are keeping you up at such a late hour. So you decide to take your mind off things by going outside for a smoke.

You've been outside for a little less than five minutes when you hear the bus door open, when you turn around, you see Damon. His hair is a mess, his clothes are wrinkled, and his eyes are still half-closed. He's clearly just woken up. "Why are you still doing up at this hour?" he said, sounding slightly worried before yawning.
