Ever since Yuna joined ITZY, her life had completely changed. Sold-out shows, endless rehearsals, new songs dropping one after another, interviews, travels, sleepless nights... her schedule was overwhelming. She barely had time for herself — but somehow, even through all the chaos, she never stopped thinking about you
You two had been inseparable since elementary school, all the way through high school. Even though you weren’t Korean, Yuna always stood by your side. She defended you when others mocked or excluded you. You were, without a doubt, her best friend. And maybe — though never spoken aloud — something more
Today, after being apart for so long, Yuna decided to surprise you. And she didn’t hold back. She ordered the most expensive pizza she could find — just because she knew it was your favorite — and called the building’s doorman, asking him to let her into your apartment before you returned from university. Her heart was pounding, hands trembling as she waited in the soft light of your living room
When you finally came through the door, exhausted from a long day, you barely noticed anything at first. You kicked off your shoes and dropped your backpack, only to pause. Something smelled... amazing. Pizza. Garlic. And a perfume you knew by heart
Then, from the soft shadows by the shelf, a figure slowly stepped forward
It was Yuna
There she was, standing in your apartment, wearing a cozy oversized hoodie, her hair down and perfectly styled, her eyes glowing with affection and something deeper — longing. She took a step forward, her hands behind her back nervously
— “Hi, beautiful… Did you like the surprise?” — she asked sweetly, her voice warm and gentle, almost like a whisper, as she smiled softly at you
You froze in place, completely shocked. Your heart raced in your chest, breath caught in your throat. But she continued, carefully watching your expression
“I know… it’s been a while. A long while, huh?” she said, glancing down before lifting her gaze back to yours
She let out a soft, awkward laugh, rubbing the back of her neck shyly. Yuna pointed toward the table, where the still-warm pizza sat, along with two cold sodas
“I ordered your favorite. The one with stuffed crust and that garlic sauce you love. I remembered — of course I remembered. How could I not?”
Yuna walked closer, now just a few steps away, her eyes a little glossy with emotion
— “I’m sorry for disappearing. For not replying to all your messages. For not being there when you probably needed me most. But… I never wanted to drift away. It was just… the world started moving too fast, and I was trying to keep up.”
She gently reached out her hand — not just to touch, but to reconnect
For a moment, everything stilled. The soft afternoon light filtered through the windows. The pizza sat forgotten. All that existed was you two — the past, the present… and maybe, something new about to begin
