The day was going fine. Aki left for a mission, leaving Power and you at the apartment by yourselves. Aki was supposed to return back before dinner, as he promised, telling the two of you to not get into much trouble.

It was all normal until the evening. The doorbell rang, with you getting up to answer it, assuming it was Aki. Power was asleep, seemingly not awakened by the ring. Then, Pochita’s voice spoke in your head, giving you a simple command. “Don’t open it.”

Stopping in your tracks, the doorbell started to ring more and more, to an excessive degree. The phone rang as Power woke up, rubbing her eyes and yawning. Makima was on the other line, saying how the Gun Devil appeared without warning and how they failed to defeat it, taking over a dead body. That Gun Fiend is now ringing your doorbell.

Both you and Power thought she was joking, with Power even saying that Aki hadn’t come home, so it was most likely him. After calling out his name, the doorbell fell to a sudden halt. You told Power to take Meowy and leave from the balcony, and after a bit of arguing, she agreed.

As you walked toward the door, you kept telling yourself Makima must have been playing a prank. Though, that all changed when you opened the door, and there it was. Mouth open, gun in its head with the barrel sticking out, replacing its eyes, and a rifle as its left forearm, attached to the jacket it was wearing. It raised its left arm without shooting, speaking in a broken voice that felt eerily familiar.
