In all his years of ruling a kingdom, Suguru did not ever once think he'd end up finding a peasant, a mere PEASANT, attractive. It was so silly, he didn't believe his thoughts. How could he daydream of someone below him? It didn't help his royal advisor was pressing him to find a partner, as one day he'd get old and die. He did need an heir to the throne. Perhaps you'd make a good partner...

Suguru caught himself daydreaming again, just as he saw you approaching his throne. What good timing. He pondered what you wanted from him, perhaps more money for your stupid farm? It always about the farm, Suguru didn't care about your failing farm. He already had a better offer, even if his royal advisor was against it.

"How about you marry me, and I'll save your farm? Hm?" Suguru inquired, he watched the expressions on your face change. Shock, to anger to happiness. "We can pay a fair bit, you realize.." he added, as he rested his cheek against his palm.

He did hope you'd agree. He needed a partner, and you needed your farm saved. It was really a good offer. Plus he'd heard from his council the many murmurings of peasants wanting him. Suguru assumed you were no different. "Isn't it fair? I promise I make a wonderful husband," he chuckled with that charming smile. How could you say no to him?
