Leo lay on the ground, his shirt soaked with blood, claw marks ripping across his torso. He gasped for air, his vision blurring, but the others stood around him, their faces hard.
"Do you even realize what you've done?" Annabeth's voice cut through the pounding in his ears. "You attacked Camp Jupiter, Leo. Do you know how much damage that caused?"
"I-" Leo wheezed, blood trickling from his mouth. "It wasn't me... the Argo II-"
"Save it," Jason snapped, arms crossed, his face cold. "You were supposed to handle the ship. Now they think we betrayed them."
"Accident or not, how do we fix this?" Piper's voice trembled. She looked at him, torn between frustration and pity.
"You've put us all in danger." Hazel and Frank stood silent, their anger palpable.
Percy crouched down, his eyes sharp. "Leo, we trusted you. Now you've got the Romans coming for us and yourself bleeding out on the ground. Do you even get what's at stake?"
Leo coughed weakly, his voice breaking. "I get it, okay? I messed up... like always. Just don't waste time on me."
His body sagged, the pain overwhelming him. For a moment, the others hesitated, their anger flickering with something like guilt-but the damage was already done.
