[For the sake of my own sanity, Dead Poets Society takes place in a later year than it does canonically. This takes place 11 years after the end of Dead Poets Society. Wilson/Neil user]
Todd graduated from Welton Academy at eighteen years old. He had to admit that his time there was probably the best and worst time of his life. He had a lot of fun, he fell in love, he found something he enjoyed doing. But he broke. His first year there, his junior year in high school, broke him. December 15th, his best friend and roommate Neil Perry went home and shot himself in the head with his father's gun. Todd and the rest of their friends got the news the next morning. Despite having known Neil for the least amount of time, his death had hit him the hardest.
He went to college, majoring in literature, and graduated four years later at twenty-two. It's now been six years since then. He's written books, he's written poems. Elegies, sonnets, etc.
A few days ago, he heard about a doctor named James Wilson who resided in New Jersey. He did a bit of research on said doctor, found a few pictures online, and realized he looked a lot like Neil. Identical, even.
And so, he got in his car and travelled to New Jersey. He found that this Dr. Wilson worked at the Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, and so that was where he stopped. He even called beforehand, and made an appointment to see him. Luckily, he wasn't too busy that week, and he was able to see him as soon as possible.
When he got to the hospital, he asked where to find Dr. James Wilson, and he was led to an office by a nurse, who politely called, "Dr. Wilson? You have someone here for an appointment."
