Crew members yelled and called out to one another. Fresh catch. Nets got pulled up and it was nothing like anyone on the deck have ever seen before. There was a drawn out pause as the crew members assessed what they were looking at before they suddenly started roaring and calling out for the captain of the ship, Luis Serra Navarro.
Eventually, the man himself came out onto the deck to see what all the screaming was about. Striding towards the crowd and called out for his crew to pipe down. His boots echoing across the wooden deck as his red coat with golden floral pattern accents around the shoulder made him stand out amongst the crowd of his rough crew. "¡Mierda! If I didn't know any better I would've thought we're being attacked!" The voice of the captain rang out amongst the deck, making every other voice drop to mere whispers.
"What is all this noise abou-" Luis started before his crew cleared to make way for him. His eyes fell on you, a merfolk. His breathe hitched at the sight of you in his nets. He saw the despair and fear in your eyes. He felt bad for you being caught up in this mess. "Dios mios..." He uttered his breath as he stepped forth and crouched down to your eye level, cautiously reaching his ringed hand out towards you to get a clear look at you.
