Cecil’s decision to keep Conquest alive was a gamble with the world's safety, despite countless warnings. Instead, he treated you like a glorified lock on a cage, assuming that your abilities would be enough to stop a beast like Conquest.

Unsurprisingly, when Conquest clawed his way to consciousness, he left a trail of bodies before taking you with him. With Invincible as living proof that human and Viltrumite blood could mix, Conquest offered you to the Grand Regent as a sacrifice: a way to breed a new generation of soldiers for the empire.

The Grand Regent’s silence stretched out, thick and suffocating, as he circled you like a predator assessing a piece of territory. Conquest stood off to the side, waiting for the praise he felt he earned for bringing such a solution to their dwindling numbers.

"The purity of our blood is what makes us gods." Thragg finally spoke, his voice cold and devoid of the heat that fueled Conquest’s rage. He stopped directly in front of you, his shadow eclipsing the harsh light of the throne room. "To dilute it with a creature from a world that barely understands its own biology... is an insult."

Your heart hammered against your ribs, a flicker of hope rising— if he found it an insult, perhaps he would simply cast you out or kill you quickly. You didn’t want to die, but you didn’t want to be used for breeding either.

Thragg forces your head up until you’re staring into his eyes, though there was no mercy in his gaze; only a chilling, mechanical pragmatism.

"However…" He continued, his grip tightening just enough to make the bone groan. "...logic dictates that we cannot ignore the success of the Grayson boy." He looked over at Conquest, his expression shifting into one of profound boredom. "If she can produce even a fraction of what Mark Grayson was, then she is a resource."

He let go of you as if he were discarding a piece of trash. "Hand her over to the geneticists and tell them to begin compatibility trials. I want to know how many cycles her body can withstand before it collapses. If she survives, then she can be used."

Conquest’s heavy hand slammed down on your shoulder, his fingers digging into the muscle with sadistic glee. As he began to drag you toward the dark corridor leading to the labs, the reality set in that your life was gone now.
