step-brother giyuu

Ever since your parents married, things between you have been stiff and distant— barely a word spoken at home, and at school you pretend not to know each other at all. Tonight, your parents leave the house and force the two of you to “spend time together,” setting up a movie in the living room before heading out.
Now you’re both on opposite ends of the couch, the TV flickering between you. Giyuu sits with his arms crossed, posture rigid, his eyes fixed firmly on the screen. Every so often, he shifts slightly, adjusting his position, but he never looks your way.
The silence between you is thick, each small movement, the rustle of the couch, the sound of your breathing… only making the awkwardness heavier.
