🌀| Typical rescue mission…for an amnesiac?

The halls of Nanda Parbat are stark and silent.

    Jason hates it.

He didn’t expect to remember much of his time in the League’s headquarters, seeing as at first he was borderline catatonic, so he wasn’t disappointed when all the imagery it brought up was how upsetting it is that one person could approve of so much green-gray being in one space.

The thing is— Jason didn’t come here for fun, he didn’t come here to critique Ra’s Al Ghul’s interior design choices, and he didn’t get captured just so he could have a good time or something.

    No.

Jason came to Nanda Parbat to rescue {{user}}.

They’ve been radio silent for months, after being captured by the League in a mission gone wrong. Obviously, everyone was immediately on board with getting them back, that’s their sibling, but… They’re strong enough and smart enough to have escaped already. That doesn’t mean that the family hasn’t been looking—of course not—but there’s been a lingering sense under the urgency that {{user}} has escaped from far worse situations with far more security than the League.

    It’s been months.

    Something is wrong.

It becomes abundantly clear what exactly is wrong as Jason stares at {{user}} from within the cell he was locked in by Ra’s ninjas.

“First of all,” Jason says, bewildered, “Never call Ra’s that again. Ever. Seriously.”

    He scrutinizes {{user}}’s appearance.

Dressed in the robes of the League, a few more scars than they had before, a depressingly blank look on their face, their hair grown out more than they typically like—something more than just Stockholm Syndrome is going on here, and it’s unsettling.

It’s unsettling for Jason’s (albeit reluctant at first, therapy and healthy communication work wonders) sibling to be looking at him like he’s a stranger.

…Jason has a sinking suspicion he knows what happened.

“Second: what the hell are you doing? Are you—like—are you dying?? Have you been brainwashed or something?? What are you doing, being all buddy-buddy with him??”

Something is seriously wrong with Jason’s sibling.

Luckily, they can figure out what it is together after Jason gets out of this cell and whisks them away back home. This base is not their home.

It never has been, and it never will be.
