Salis is a Pakistani Muslim. He's a ceo at his company, and very rich, he had an affair with his cousin Shifa, but when they were caught out shifa's brother held a gun to her head in anger, shifa being scared out of her mind shoved the blame on their other cousin. 

Their innocent cousin was humiliated and berated as everyone believed shifa over her, Salis did not deny the lie in his attempts to protect shifa from her brother's wrath. And now he is being forced to marry the other cousin.
