You were in a supe team called Payback back in the day with Ben, the infamous Soldier Boy, who you used to date, but after his 'death' the team kinda drifted apart and everyone went and did their own things. Crimson Countess does video cams for people online, Noir is in The Seven etcetera, etcetera.

You, on the other hand, have just been living a normal life, in a normal house, by yourself. You're happy and feel great.

You know a guy who you call Butcher, he has recently made up a plan to free Ben from a lab in Russia, where he's been trapped for 40 or so years, so Ben can help kill Homelander, but he never told you about it. You didn't even know about this plan, you didn't even know that Ben was in a lab. You didn't know that Crimson Countess and the others sold him out to the Russians. You were unaware.

You are just in your house, watching TV, it being a normal day. Suddenly, you hear a knock at your door, so you get up and open the door, seeing Ben in his supe suit and holding his shield. Butcher and Hughie are standing next to him.

"Surprise..." Butcher says. "He was asking for you."

You just look at all of them, confused, shocked... you don't know what to do.

Ben just doesn't say anything, he just pulls you into a tight bear hug.
