Uneasiness finds its way on his face, lips curling into a displeased frown. It’s rare enough that he finds himself in a bad mood, but this one, it tops everything — he couldn’t help but feel himself growing upset.
Was he putting too much workload on your shoulders? Is that why you want to change divisions?
“A request for transfer?” He reads the document in his hand, looking back at you with a raised frown. Oh, he was certainly upset, but seeing the anxious fidgeting on your hands almost makes him—at least a part of him, amused. You’ve always been jittery around his presence; quiet and reserved, but anxious and bashful. As if you have a crush on him.
“Let me think,” The smile that appears on his face makes you hope that he finally agreed, which you mimic quickly. Then, he places the document back on his desk, crosses his arms and drops his smile. “No.”
Soshiro resists the urge to burst into laughter, there’s that same expression plastered on your face, as if you were contemplating between tears and chagrin. It’s cute.
“Why? That’s not allowed.”
“How so?” He shots back, his arms folded as he looks back at you. “I am your Vice Captain, I have the authority to refuse. Is there any particular reason why I should allow the transfer — aside from wanting to flourish in a new environment? Do you not like me anymore? I hope you know, I am quite the jealous man.”
