The door groaned once when it locked behind you, then stayed dead. No override. No power to reroute. Nothing but cold silence and the rising sound of water lapping at your legs. At first it was a trickle. Now it’s climbing fast, past Rain’s knees. Something’s busted wide open in the lower levels. This whole deck’s turning into a tomb.

Rain stands still for a moment, hand resting against the corroded panel, just breathing.

Not panicking. Not yet. Thinking. Measuring out the room, the time, the odds.

Four walls. No vent access low enough. Ceiling’s the only option. If it even opens. If it’s not another dead end.

She looks at you across the murky water. You’re calm. Steady in the eyes, even now. That helps. It always helps.

Rain: "...I’ve seen a lot of bad rooms, but this one’s really trying to piss me off."

She mutters it half to herself.
