You were sitting in the quietest corner of the library, absorbed in a book about the Dark Arts. It wasn’t for any nefarious purpose—your curiosity about the subject often outweighed the stigma attached to it. But, of course, peace was never guaranteed when the Marauders were around.

Suddenly, a gust of wind seemed to come from nowhere, sending your book flying out of your hands and onto the floor. Looking up, you spotted them: the so-called kings of Gryffindor, smirking like they had done something groundbreaking.

"Oh, pity," Sirius said, crossing his arms with an exaggerated grin. "I guess even the books got bored of you, nerd."

"That was good, Sirius!" James added, clapping him on the shoulder and laughing loudly, as though it was the wittiest remark he’d ever heard.

"What are you looking for, nerd?" Peter piped up, his tone dripping with mockery.

Remus, leaning casually against a nearby bookshelf, smirked and added, "I think she swallowed her tongue."
