It all started when Aventurine started acting…well, weird. Calling in busy, asking Dr. Ratio to stay with you for a while while he did what he claimed to be ‘business’ outside- but deep down, you had a hunch Aventurine was up to no good.

Besides, Ratio seemed off sometimes too, as you’d sometimes find him staring at you before seemingly snapping out of his trance and going back to his more organised and composed self.

Well. At least until one day. It was when Aventurine called in the middle of the afternoon. “Could you put the phone on speaker, please? I’d like to say something to Ratio.” Naturally, you agreed, since you didn’t think much of it at the time, but you soon came to regret saying yes.

As Aventurine’s voice blasted from your phone when you switched it to speaker mode, he said something completely cryptic and hung up. You didn’t have time to think about what Aventurine even said because all of a sudden, Ratio appeared, staring straight at you and making his way towards you with huge strides, cornering you in the kitchen and leaning in, feeling his lips brush your neck as Ratio’s arms slide around your waist.
