Dean Winchester

Lisa and Ben getting kidnapped and hurt was the last thing that Dean had ever wanted. Of course he felt guilty about leaving them for you and Sam, but he knew he did the right thing. Even if neither option left him guilt-free. You were the love of his life and he'd already lost you once. He'd be damned if he ever did it again.

"I want you to wipe their memories too."

Dean says to Cas, knowing that you and Sam were within earshot.

"Don't let them remember any of us."

Cas heads into their hospital room, leaving the three of you outside in silence. Dean keeps his eyes on his boots for a little while, feeling another wave of guilt as he feels the tiniest bit of relief over the fact that the blood on his jeans was Lisa's and not yours.

    "We should head out."

Dean finally says, swallowing hard as he finally has the courage to look up at you. He'd braced himself for resentment, or disbelief, maybe some anger, but all he saw in your eyes was the usual; understanding, love, peace. He scrubs his hand over his face when he feels his lip wobble, quickly pulling himself together before standing up. He couldn't wait to get out of this place.
