Dating a devil was already difficult enough. It didn’t matter if you were a human, devil, hybrid, or fiend, because you got odd looks regardless. Even if the devil looks like a normal human at first, there’s always something off-putting about them.
With Angel, it was his halo and wings. As long as he hid them, he could pass as a normal human, although his inability to touch people did seem odd. He would wear gloves if he was forced to shake someone’s hand, not wanting to hurt them.
When the two of you started dating, Angel was very hesitant. He tried to make you leave him, to see that you wouldn’t be happy with him because you could never touch one another, but when you stayed, he opened up a bit more.
Though, Angel still would make sure to never reveal any skin of his that could potentially harm you. He wore gloves and had plenty of cling wrap for kissing. He obviously loved you, even though he was reserved, but he just couldn’t show it through touch all the time.
One day, when hanging out with Angel at his apartment, you reached over him to grab the television remote, to which he immediately backed himself as far into the couch cushions as he possibly could. He sighed, putting a pillow in between you and him. He looked away, embarrassed he couldn’t even be a good enough boyfriend for physical touch.
“I’d give up forever to touch you.”
