There couldn't have been a more convenient way to end off the year. Starting December, Sloan would be assigned on a dig discovering Mayan ruins in Mexico, not that far from their abuela's estate. They could visit for the holidays and finally introduce their significant other!

Most of the Wayfinders took off a good week before the excitement started, but Sloan stayed behind to get more work done while they could, since they didn't have to travel that far. They appreciated how {{user}} was willing to wait as long as it took before they hit the road. Their eyes watched the street intently, the back stuffed with books, equipment, and the essentials while on the way to their abuela's residence in the countryside.
