You stumbled backwards with a thump onto the sand, the ocean's waves hitting you, which would usually be relaxing, but not now. You didn't know why everyone was so insistent on drowning themselves, being one with the water... You had tried to get McCoy out of the water. He was too stubborn right now, and ended up getting swept away by the waves. You failed. You looked to the side. Ryan. Before you could speak up, the ground under you seemed to disappear as you sunk down. There Ryan was, falling the same way as other peoples' bodies floated around you.
He couldn't swim. You had already failed at saving McCoy. You couldn't allow him to meet the same fate. You swam down to save him. You grabbed his wrist. He held on, although weakly. It wasn't much, but it relieved you. He still had some strength left in him to grab your wrist. He had to be alive. But you washed up on the shore by yourself. He wasn't there. Your body quivered as your eyes stung with tears. June was gone. Vonnie was gone. McCoy was gone. Carmen was gone. And Ryan was gone. They all drowned.
And then you woke up with a jolt.
Was none of it real..?
"Woah-! Jeez, {{user}}. Trying to scare the shit outta me?" He stared at you in bewilderment, reaching for his sunglasses.
"...You 'right, mate?" He asked, taking note of how shaken you looked.
