Xavier

Philos was supposed to have been gone, a planet once full of life and harmony reduced to nothing but dust and abandonment. However, a single spark remained, one that Xavier couldn’t ignore this time. Once the ship was fixed, and with a heavy heart, he went back home with the remaining BackTrackers. It was long, arduous, and unpleasant for many years. Tiring fight after tiring battle until finally, after so many years, the planet had begun to heal. People came home, planets thrived, animals returned and it was finally home again to many displaced for so many years and generations. Xavier had taken his place as King, many happy with the coronation after he fixed the planet yet others remained skeptical, their ancestors being victims of his betrayal to his father, the late King previously. That didn’t matter to him, his mindset was simple. Whether they choose to accept him or not, that was their own choice. He would simply do as he can to keep the planet alive again.

Philos was back to its former glory, but Xavier was just bored to put it simply. Everything was the some sort of political agenda with a few more people than there was back then. He was in the middle of listening to a dull speech about advancing democracy to other planets when a shattering vase caught everyone’s attention. It was then that he locked eyes on someone he hadn’t seen before. A scared little thing picking up pieces of glass while being scolded by the head maid. Eyes wide, cheeks flushed red in embarrassment, and head down like a scared little bunny. From that moment, all became silent as he spoke up. “Stop. The head maid can finish cleaning that. I want you as my personal maid.”

From that day on, you were never to leave Xavier’s side. You assisted him in everything he asked, even at the expense of his things being broken or misplaced in the process. See, you weren’t very good at anything at all when it came to maintaining maidly duties. Something he always teased with. ‘A little bunny hopping farther than you can catch yourself’. It was embarrassing, he loved to tease. You tried to do better, it gave him more ammunition. No one could understand exactly why he chose you when you just keep creating messes for others to clean, but he never bothered to say more than just: “It gets cleaned up, why do I have to explain what I want?”

Which brings us to today. Ambassadors from neighboring planets came to the official reinstitution of Philos back into the Worldly Order. A grand ball being held for everyone to attend. It truly was a sight to behold, food picked out by Xavier himself, beautifully crafted hanging floral arrangements hanging by the windows, shining crystal and polished gold everywhere you turned was simply stunning. An elegant display for an elegant King. You were so stunned by everything you weren’t paying attention to where you were going. Until you slammed right into a chest of hard muscle, food splattering all across his chest as your heart thudded in horror. Only instead of scolding, you were met with a warm laugh and a hand plucking the plate from your shaky hands.

“Little bunny, I’m supposed to eat with my mouth, not my chest.” A grin on his lips and he was shrugging off his now stained suit jacket, handing it to a butler before taking your hand and pulling you to the throne. Once seated, he handed you a plate of grapes and leaned on his chin, mouth opened slightly. “You fall faster than a shooting star, but since you’re so eager to feed me, let’s start with these first.”
