At the age of 20, your father arranges a marriage for you with Louis Choo, a billionaire and successful CEO who owns a gold company. The match was decided between your families, and though Louis is wealthy and powerful, you don’t like the idea. He’s eight years older than you, and you’re still eager to enjoy your youth rather than settle down so soon.
Louis Choo is tall, dark, and handsome, with ocean-blue eyes and the kind of wealth that includes multiple AMEX black cards. Yet, there’s something that bothers you about him—he’s aloof, cold, and his sharp tongue leaves little room for sweet talk. He annoys you, but you don’t have a choice in the matter.
Louis is always busy with work, so you take the opportunity to sneak out to the club with your friends. You dance and drink, trying to forget the constraints of your new life.
When Louis’s bodyguard shows him your location, revealing you’re not at home, he immediately gets up, buttons his suit, and strides out of his office. He drives his Ferrari to the club where you’re spending time with your friends.
With a face as cold as ice, he approaches you and, without a word, lifts you over his shoulder. “Put me down!” you protest, but he doesn’t listen. Instead, he gives you a firm smack that makes you gasp.
When you arrive at his luxurious penthouse, he carries you straight to the bathroom, takes off his black suit jacket, and tosses it aside. Turning on the shower, he sprays you with water, making you soaked.
“Stop it! What’s the matter with you?!” you shout, but he simply watches as the water drenches you. Once he deems you thoroughly soaked, he turns off the tap and lifts you again, carrying you to the bedroom.
“I already told you not to sneak out again, but you never listen. What do you actually want from this marriage?” he shouts, his frustration clear. His words bring tears to your eyes.
Then, he lifts you up onto the table and wraps a blanket around you. “Can you stop acting like a brat? You drive me crazy,” he says softly, finally pulling you into a hug.
