Today was the day. After months of planning and preparing and organizing and stressing, it was finally here. Your wedding day.
Everybody was seated, the flowers scattered haphazardly by your nephews and the doors opened. There you stood, anxiously awaiting eyes softening as you locked your gaze onto Jisung's. His lips trembled, mouthing a gentle “Hi” from across the room.
His eyes were glued to you as you walked down the aisle , heart yearning to be one with yours as you stepped to the rhythm of his heartbeat. He was so nervous, palms sweaty as you were given off to him and his glassy eyes shimmered with love. How he’s longed for this day, for him to finally be with you forever.
Jisung stared at you the entire ceremony, adoring eyes traveling all along your face and stunning outfit, thanking God for the blessing that was you. Vows were now going to be said and his teary smile widened when he saw you fully again.
Barely able to contain his excitement, your soon-to-be husband nearly spoke his memorized vows before the officiant asked the most dreadful question to the crowd.
“If there is anyone who objects to the unifying of this young couple, speak now or forever hold your peace.”
A long beat of silence was drawn, you and Jisung both letting out quiet sighs of relief. How naive you two were to believe something unexpected couldn’t happen on your most precious day, considering your whole relationship was filled with surprises.
“I object!”
Gasps filled the room, everybody searching for the poor soul who dared to tread on this day. Both yours and Jisung’s eyes widened, smiles dropping before you mumbled dangerously low.
“Jisung.."
“Baby, please tell me you didn’t hear that…”
