You attended a boarding school, which meant living in one of the dorms on campus. Luckily, you had the room all to yourself — no roommate, no noise, just quiet.

That morning, as you walked through the small town on your way to class, you noticed someone up on a ladder fixing something on a nearby building. He had short, spiky white hair and sharp purple eyes. A thin scar ran from his cheek across his nose, and another cut through his hairline down to the middle of his forehead. He was wearing your school’s uniform.

You brushed it off and continued toward campus, assuming he was just another student.

But when class started, you froze. The same boy walked in — and took the seat right behind you.
